Jan - Nov 1875 (i)Letter from Veasey to E Eyre Esq, re accounts and fines due from the late Mr Welby's trustees; 'the amount of fines will not be by any means so good as I had expected, finding a windmill upon which a fine had been paid a good many years ago has been pulled down.', 21 Jan 1875 (ii)Letter from Tallents Bromaly Griffins, solicitors to Veasey detailing how Rev M E Welby's estate in the Manor of Langford is left in the hands of various people through various entails etc., 6th May 1875 (iii)Letter as above with particulars of how Sir Wm E Welby's estates 'at Langford and Arlesey or elsewhere in the County of Bedford' were devised to the Duke of Rutland and Dean Gordon, 'to the use of and upon trust for such of his child or children (except Thos E Welby) as his wife by deed or will should appoint' Lady Welby exercised the power of appointment in favour of her son Montague Earle Welby as regards the Langford estate. 15th June 1875 (iv)Letter from Veasey to E Eyre re admittance of Welby heir or devises to 'a small portion of copyhold', 19 Nov 1875 (v)Letter from Veasey to Tallents, & Co detailing which pieces of land correspond with which plots on the sale plan, including that 'the four tenements lately used as a workhouse which admission was taken on the 3? Think that mr Welby and the Duke of Rutland should be admitted as tenants in fee. 24th Nov 1875 (vii)Letter as above again stating how they think Mr Welby should be admitted in fee. 25th Nov 1875 [formerly all CD 1039]
