    Cottage (now 2), with garden ground (once part of close cont. 3½acs) now staked or fenced out, containing in length next the public street 43 yards and in breadth at the south end 17 yards. Formerly occ by Js Ashwell & Jos Hickson and now Henry Hickson, Wm Street and Wm Hills. (i)Absolute surrender Ann Hickson of Langford, devisee for life of Joseph Hickson late of Langford, farrier & Henry Hickson of Langford, yeoman devisee in reversion to Wm Chapman of Biggleswade, gent. for £130.(7 Jan 1826). (ii)Absolute surrender of 1½ ac in close adjoining the garden ground and not already surrendered parties as in (i) upon trust that Wm Chapman or his heirs shall sell so soon as the legacy or sum of £200 or any part thereof shall become payable under the will of Joseph Hickson. Gives details of the will and legacy.(7 Jan 1826) (iii)Absolute surrender Clarissa and Anna Maria Chapman of Brook House, Potton to Henry Street of Langford, gardener, for £185.
