    Deposition:Robert Symkins, servant to J. Janes. The Information of Robert Symkins servant to James Janes of Tilsworth in the County of Bedford yeoman taken upon Oath before Sr Francis Wingate Knt and William Duncombe Esqr two of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said County of Bedford the 23th day of July Anno Dni 1678. This Informant sayth that suspecting his Masters house to have been Robbed, and being informed by some of the Neighbours, that a wench in a black hood did run up the back side from his said Masters house, he this Informant pursued after her, it being about ten or eleaven of the clocke of this present day, and that amongst the Beanes in the feild he found one Grace Day in such a habitt as had been described to him by his Neighbour, and neare the place where she lay hid, he found a peece of cloth of a darke colour some Pewter Spoones and a Coller Band or two; and further this Informant sayth not.
