Title
Administration (with will dated 24th Oct 1857annexed) of Miss Ann Williamson, deceased formerly of Kempston Manor, Beds but late of Hendon, Middlesex, spinster who died on the 3rd Jul 1888.
Reciting:
- Will of late father by which testator was possessed of 1/6th part or share in certain lands, tenements & hereditaments in Pulloxhill, Higham Gobion, Flitton, Harlington & Westoning… 'all which whether in hand or in my tenants occupation I shall hereinafter refer to as Portobello Farm'.
- Will of late sister Elizabeth by which testator was possessed of 1/4 of 1/6 share of certain lands, tenements & hereditaments situate in Campton & Shefford; all which parishes mentioned are in Bedfordshire.
Giving:
- 1/6 share & interest in Portobello Farm with all stock implements and things thereon belonging unto my sisters Frances & Catherine Williamson; after decease unto my nieces Frances Hester, wife of Rev. Edward Atkinson; Mary Carter Smith; Ann Maria Smith and Elizabeth Harriet Smith.
- 1/4 of 1/6 share & interest in property at Campton & Shefford to said Frances & Catherine; after decease of either one of them unto the survivor and my brothers Richard Williamson & William Williamson.
- All furniture, linen, plate, china, wines, clothing, horses, carriages and other household and personal goods unto said Frances & Catherine.
- £100 to sister Mary wife of Richard Carter Smith.
- Residue of my real and personal estate unto my said brother William and Henry Edmund Goodhall of Pancras Lane, London, merchant upon trust to invest and pay £15 annually to each of my three nieces Mary Carter Smith, Ann Maria Smith and Elizabeth Harriet Smith and one half of the residue of such interest & profits to each of the said Frances & Catherine; after decease of Frances & Catherine upon trust to sell all securities and pay, after deduction for expenses as follows: £200 to brother Edmund Riland Williamson, if he dies in my lifetime then to his daughter Anne Jane Williamson; £200 to Frances Hester Atkinson; £400 to my nephew Richard Goodhall Smith; £400 to my nephew Edmond Henry Carter Smith; £100 to each of the children of the said Henry Edmund Goodhall; Remainder of residuary estate or trust fund equally between my said three nieces.
- Appointing William Williamson & Henry Edmund Goodhall executors.
- Witnessed by Betsy Taylor & George Heathfield, both of Kempston, servants.
Codicil dated 3rd Jul 1867. Giving: 19 guineas each to friends Barbara Trollope, Elizabeth Babington & Emma Swansborough; 10 guineas each to nieces & nephews Frances Hester Atkinson, Annie Jane Williamson, Richard Goodhall Smith & Edmond Henry Carter Smith; 10 guineas each to my friend Charlotte Eliza Goodhall and Louisa Newington of Tenderden; £5 each to Louisa Wildman & George Heathfield; £10 to Eliza wife of Howard William.
