    Deposition: (William Hack, Wandon, (Bucks). Bought bay mare, claimed by one Curteys, from Jn.Knight. Also found black mare lost by Marke Parker in pawn at Red Lion, Hempstead. The Information of William Hack of Wandon in the County of Bucks taken before me the 16th day of February Ano Dni 1677 at Steppingley in the County of Bedford Upon his Oath. He sayth he Bought a Bay Mare of John Knight heer present at Wandon afforesd That he was to Give him for hir three pounds & ten shillings But payd but ten shillings in Ernest to him as yet That a few days after the Mare was cryed & Owned by One Curteys of Newport in the County of Bucks & Affirmed by Curteys to be stollen from him some few days Before. He sayth further that about the same time ther was another Black mare lost from one Marke Parker that lives about Weston about 4 miles from Newport in the County of Bucks & Affirmed by Parker to have bin stolen from him, which Black Mare he the sayd Hack found pawnd to one Bowles (Baylife of the Hundred he lives in) who keepeth the Red Lyon Inn neer Hempsted in the County of Hartford by the sayd John Knight Geo Abbott
