    Deposition: Thomas Leegouse, Chalgrave, gentleman Thomas Meakes says Thomas Morgan said it was his brother's horse which was sold. Th. Morgan denied this. Richard Morgan, Chalgrave, yeoman, His brother Thomas has not been at his house since Michaelmas. R.M. lost a bridle and horsewhip, and brother John a saddle, the night Fr.Collier lost his horse. The Information of Thomas Leegoase of the Chalgrave in the county of Bedford Gent taken upon cathe before me Sr John Duncombe Knt one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said county of Bedford the 15th day of June Anno Dni 1677 This Informt sayth that Thomas Morgan haveing denyed before Thomas Meakes that he had ever told him that it was his Brothers horse which was sold but the horse of one Giles Freeman of Nottingham whose Bridle and Saddle he would have sent him the said Thomas Meakes, the said Thomas Meakes did in the presence of the said Thomas Morgan averre that the said Morgan did tell him that his Brother had sold his horse in Smythfeild and left the Bridle and Saddle with him; And this Informt sayth that the said Thomas Morgan being asked what Brothers horse it was concerneing the selling of which he had spoken to Thomas Meakes he would retourne noe answer; And further sayth not. J Duncombe The Informacon of Richard Morgan of the parish of Chalgrave in the county of Bedford aforesaid yeoman taken upon oathe before me Sr John Duncombe Knt one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said county of Bedford the 15th day of June Anno Dni 1677 This Informt sayth, that Thomas Morgan his Brother hath not been at his house but one night since Michaellmas last, and that he the said Richard Morgan lost a Bridle and a handwhipp upon the thursday night before Whitsontide last being the night in which Francis Collyer lost his horse, and that his Brother John Morgan had alsoe (as this Informt heard) lost a Saddle the same night.
