The informacon of Thomas Newman of St Neots in the county of Hunt: draper taken upon oath before me William Beckett major the twelfth day of October Ao: Dm: 1675 This informt saieth that having a warrant under the hand of William Foster Dr att lawes one of his Maties Justices of peace to search for certaine drapery goods which hee had lost and coming with two constables into the house of Mr William Smythes of the towne of Bedford inholder: they found fower remnants of stuff in the possession of the said William Smythes And this informt saieth that one peece of stuffe comonly caled flowered tamerin is his; And for the other three remnants of stuffe hee doath verely beleive are his And further hee saieth not.
