Deposition Thomas Ligoe, Chalgrave, 12 April 1675.
Lost a lamb, and later found lambskin and hindquarter of lamb hidden in bedchamber in house of Thomas Hawkins of Sundon. The Informacon of Thomas Ligoe of Chalgrave in the county of Bedd gent taken upon oath the xiith day of Aprill 1675 before me St John Thomson Esqr one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said county of Bedd as followeth This Informant saith that upon Satterday night last hee lost a lambe out of his grounde at Chalgrave and upon search found the lambskyn thereof in the possession of Thomas Hawkins of Sundon in the sd county hid in a hole dagge in his bedchamber by his bedside and certaine wooll under it, And likewise found a hinderquarter of the said lambe hid under the boulster belonginge to his childrens bedde St John Thomson
