    Deposition:Robert Godfrey, Woburn, labourer 24 July 1673 --- Went to the house of Th. Lucas, sent a child there on an errand, meanwhile took some small linen out of a box. The examinacon of Robert Godfrey labourer taken before mee St John Thompson Esqr one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the county of Bedford the 24th day of July Anno Dni 1673 saith as followeth That he this examinant did upon the 23d day of July instant goe into the house of one Thomas Lucas of Wobourne in the said county (in the daytime) there beinge a little girle in the house of aboute tenne yeares of age, and did send the said girl into the towne for a halfe pennyworth of tobacco and that he in the meanetime did take out of a box that was unlocked in the said house certaine smalle lynnen, of a very little value, but the particulers hee cannot certainely expresse St John Thomson
