    Deposition: Edward Bray, Geo. North, Biggleswade. 28 December 1671. Met John Langshar riding bay horse without saddle; had him arrested as a suspicious person. The information of Edwife Bray & George North of Bigleswade Beds, taken upon oath before Robert Andley Esq one of his Majesties J.Ps on the 28th December, 1671 These infs. saith that on the twenty sixth da of this inst. December 1671 at nine of the clock in the night they met with one that called himself John Langshar upon a reddish bay horse with black .... maine & black taile with a paire of stirrups tyed together with a string hanging upon the horses back without any saddle or pannell or anything else upon his back they enquiring what countreyman he was and where he dwelt, he first said Yorkshire and that he lived in Yorktown and afterwards in Warrickshire and that he lived in Warricktown and finding him a suspitious person sent for the constables and carried him before Robert Andley and enquiring whither the sd. John Langshar was goeinge, he sd. to Baldock in Harfordshire, and further this Infs. say not.
