    JohnTaylor of Amptill gave her 4 pewter flagons to pay a debt of 6s. The marks on them had been scratched out. She offered them for sale at Woburn and was bid 2s.8d. for two The Examination of Mary Williamson of Amptill in this Countie of Bedford taken before St John Chernocke Bartt one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said Countie the 10th day of March Ann dom 1669. This Examinant saith that John Tayler of Amptill gave her foure pewter flaggons in satisfaction for six shillings that the said Examinant lent unto the said John Tayler and shee saith the markes of those flaggons were scratched out before this Examinant had them and this Examinant brought all the said flaggons to Wooburn and there proffered to sell them and was bid two shillings eight pence for two of them and further this Examinant saith not St Jo Chernocke
