Deposition: Mary wife of Thomas Flint, victualler 19 Feb. 1670 The Examination of Mary the wife of Thomas Flint. of Shitlington Beds, victualler taken the 19th day of Feb. before the same coroner. This ex. sayth that on Wednesday the ninth day of this instant February The dec. William Pearles was att her house in Shitlington aforesd. togeather with one John Keyes and this ex. being in another roome her mayd came to her and told her this ex. That the sd. Wm Pearles and Jn Keys had gone out of dores And that shee thought they were gone out to fight whereuppon shee this ex. went out into the close near by and there found the sd. Keys uppon the ground and the sd. William Pearles kneeling upon him and this exa. took hold of the Arme of the sd. William Pearles to keep him from strikeing the said Keyes butt hee pulled his arme away from her and strok the sd. John Keyes two or three blowes and then came the sd. Thomas Flint her this ex's husband and pulled the sd. Wm Pearles of from the sd. Keyes and went with him into the house againe and further shee sayth nott. Mark of Mary Flint.
