    Deposition: Ann Skellern, George Cambers. Ann, wife of Geo. Skellern, Bedford: Observed that Mary Cambers was pregnant. George Cambers, Bedford S.M. At beginning of February Roger Richardson came to his house and sent for 2 quarts of beer, & asked for Widow Cambers daughter in law, wife. Informant refused; Roger Richardson called widow Cambers a whore and "he should hear further of hir by Elstow fayer". The Information of Ann the wife of George Skellern of the town of Bedford taken before Messrs. Beckett, Foster and Riseley as above. This informant sworne saith that about a month since she did see Mary Cambers widow going in the street in St. Marie's parysh in Bedford and did observe her body to bee bigger than usual and did veryly beleeve that she was with child and that it was so commonly reported by the neighborhood and that shee hath been gone from the place of her abode in St. Marie's parish in Bedford for the space of three weeks and doth also verely beleeve that that was the cause of her going away, and so it is comonly reported and further saith not. The Information of George Cambers of St. Marie's parish in Bedford taken before the same authorety. This Informant sworne saith that about the beginning of February last, one Roger Richardson servant to George Wale of Bedford, glover, did come to his house in St. Maries parish Bedford and did send for two quarts of beer and did desire him to send for the Widow Cambers his daughter-in-law which this informant did refuse to doe and thereupon the said Roger Richardson did reply and say that she the said Widow Cambers was a hoare and that he cold lye with her as often as hee wold and that hee did beleeve she was with child and that he wold have married her but she wold not, but he shoold hear further of her by Elstow fayer.
