    Deposition. Information of Female Jury (12 names) 1666 Heard Eliz.Pratt say on 2 Apr. "that George Heywood of Dunstable his back was her pannell to ryde upon, and that she had Ridd the said George Heywood upp hill and downe hill'. Primo die Septembris, 1666 The Information of Elizabeth Taylor, widow, Eliz. the wife of John Groom, Eliz. wife of William Ketteridge, Sarah the wife of Josiah Settle, Sarah wife of Thomas Stanbridge, Francis Fawson widow, Mary wife of William Metcalfe jun., Eliz. wife of Richard Hartwell, Sarah Tislady widow, Susan Crawley wife of John Crawley, Jane wife of Amos Clarke, and Elizabeth Lawrence wife of Anthony Lawrence - all of Dunstable in the County of Beds: taken upon oath before John Vaux and John Rotherham Esq. two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace of the said county. These informants upon their oathes doe say that they and every of them being ordered by the justices aforesaid about the 4th of April last past to search Ursula wife of William Clarke, Mary wife of Robert Poole, and Mary wife of Daniel Hudson, all of Dunstable aforesd. suspected for being witches: That upon the said Ursula Clarke they find nothing, but that she is as other women are, and that she said the Lords prayer and the beliefe; upon the said Mary Poole they find a piece of flesh upon her left shoulder and an impression in the middle of her back, and that she hath a blew spott like a mole within the sides of her privityes and that they doe think that if the said Mary was watched and looked unto as she should be, they should see something more appear concerning the premisses and also that upon the said Mary Hudson they fynd two little short teath in her private place and further they say nott. The Information of Elizabeth wife of Anthony Lawrence of Dunstable in the County of Beds, taken upon oath before John Vaux and John Rotherham Esqs. two of his majesties justices for the peace. This Informant sayth that about the second of Aprill last past she heard Elizabeth Pratt widow say, That George Heywood of Dunstable, his back was her pannell to ryde upon, and that she had ridd the said George Heywood upp-hill and downe:hill, and further sayth not.
