- correspondence between Sir David Renton, MP for Huntingdonshire and the Secretary of State for Defence (Denis Healey) and his deputy (Roy Hattersley) regarding the closures of RAF Wyton and USAF Alconbury if Thurleigh became the Third London Airport;
- letter from Bedford Division of the Conservative Association setting out the work of their candidate (Trevor Skeet) against the Thurleigh proposal;
- letter from a supporter claiming that support for BARA in Bedford was low and that BARA seemed unable to overcome this;
- Amended draft Proof of Evidence of Hugh de Beauchamp Lawson Johnston to Stage II Hearings;
- Bedfordshire Association of Parish Councils suggestion of a mass boycott of Stage V of the Hearings by all groups opposing an inland site;
- BARA's Brief to Counsel (Hugh Forbes QC) regarding Stage II Hearings;
- letter from H.de B.Lawson-Johnston expressing disappointment at the attitude of the Oakley Hunt to the proposed airport;
- BARA report on Stage II Hearing regarding Thurleigh, held in Bedford;
- letter from H.de B.Lawson Johnston suggesting a possible merger of BARA and Wing Airport Resistance Association (WARA) at Stage V of the Hearings and expressing the view that the Nuthampstead Preservation Association were unco-operative.
