Macnamara Estate [see also MN] These are records of the Macnamara Estates of Caddington Hall, Eaton Bray and Whipsnade and include tenancy agreements, rental income from tenancies, land taxes paid from income, details of expenditure on the upkeep of the estate for farms, cottages, allotments and other property. Included are details of tithes, allotments, ordnance survey maps, field tracings of farms, plans of the several parts of the estates and papers concerning property exchange of the estates of the Pedley Trustees. There are included copies of sale catalogues, schedules of the Pedley settled estates, a copy of the Whipsnade Inclosure Act (in manuscript form), papers relating to Billington Parish, a copy of Caddington altered apportionment of corn rents, a copy of the General Enclosure Act, details of enclosure awards, field tracings and maps of the estates The family papers include inventories of Billington Manor, rent statements, receipts and billheads, domestic account books, tenancy agreements, licences for armorial bearings, male servants, various correspondence, insurance policies and sundry papers of A. Macnamara and Lady Sophia Macnamara.
