Agreement by the virtue of the will of the late John Ebsworth of Stotfold, draper who died on the 16th May 1897 and has will proved on the 18th Nov 1897. Parties: (i) Louisa Ebsworth (wife of John); David Smith & James Brown (trustees of the said will). (ii) Louisa Redhouse; Edward Henry Edsworth (Son of John) & Mary Ellen Edsworth (residuary legatees of the said will). (i) agrees with (ii): - Trust be created whereby LE and EHE should be permitted to occupy his shop and premised. - If LE dies then EHE has option of purchasing said property for £500. - LE and EHE to carry on business and enjoy profits. - If EHE purchases property he also has option to purchase gardens and meadows on the N (Marked red on accompanying plan). - £247/8/4 to remain in and form part of the business.
