    For 7 yrs. parson and rector of Over Stondon, and entitled to the great and small tithes; Dan. Brace had 100 ac. wheat, 100 ac. pease, 100 ac. oats, 100 ac. meslin, 100 ac. loose grain, 100 ac. meadow on which Thos. Lawrence should have had tithe; moreover, owing to the scarcity of wood in the parish, tithe has usually been paid on wood as well as on willow and underwood; Dan. Brace had also calves, pigs, lambs, geese, and other small animals, but never paid tithe though often in a civil and friendly manner requested to do so; Dan. Brace d. 1671 and was succeeded by wid. Sarah who has also not paid tithe; and Thos. Lawrence is like to be ruined and is disabled to answer his Majesty's just debts. Trinity Term.
