Lease (99 yrs.) Rent: 55-4-9d. Moduses of 3-18-6, 5s., 15s.-3d. (i) Rev. Hen. Kempson of Breewood, Staffs., vicar of Long Preston (ii) Thos. Phil. Weddell Lord Grantham of Newby. (Rec. of agreement of (i) and proprietors of lands and farms in Wigglesworth and hamlets of Arnford and Little Newton in town- ship of Hellifield that no tithes in kind are payable to (i) but moduses of 3-18-6 per annum at Easter from Wigglesworth and 5s. from Arnford and 15s-3d. from Little Newton, also modus of 1d. for every foal born on land in these three places, 2d. 'for every milch cow newly calven' and 1/2d. 'for every cow which has not had a calf' (in lieu of tithe of milk). Rec. of agreement of (i) to lease to (ii) vicarial tithes, moduses and compositions except Easter offerings and surplice fees.) Lease as above.
