Includes (at front) a note [probably written by John Fox] that "6 was left by my mother Mary Fox to the poor of the parish of Dean to be given away at Candlemas". Parishioners receiving poor relief to be eligible to receive dole in equal proportion to others. Note: Nearly half the pages [front half of volume] have been removed. They evidently contained accounts, apparently of C17th date, but since the Fox Dole Charity was not established until the 1780s it seems unlikely that the missing pages referred to the Charity
