Reciting marriage settlement of W T Chapman and i)
In October 1840 the trustees of the settlement sold out the Consols for 1000 and lent the sum to W T Chapman on mortgage of premises at Biggleswade then in his occupation. Deed was dated 26 November 1840.
Said sum is still owing but all interest has been paid.
George Gulliver died on 30 August 1864, Robert Hunt on 7 July 1873, and Cowdell Chapman on 18 December 1874, leaving Henry Hunt as surving trustee
By appointment of new trustees of 8 August 1878
a) Henry Hunt
b) WT and Elizabeth Chapman
c)said W H Jacob and A C Hunt
c) were appointed trustees of the settlement in place of a) who assigned principal sum, property and insurance policy to them W T Chapman died on 7 April 1886
iii) is desirous of being discharged from trusts of the settlement
Now i) appoints iv) as trustee of the marriage settlement jointly with ii)
Also ii) and iii), at request of i), and with consent of iv), assign to ii) and iv)
- Principal sum of 1000 secured by mortgage of 26 November 1840
- Property the subject of the above mortgage
Also ii) and iii) at request of i), assign to ii) and iv)
- Policy of insurance on life of W T Chapman
Signatures of all various witnesses 11 December 1886 marked on front - a declaration of the right of Mr Arthur
