Abstract of Title of Revd George Musgrave Musgrave and Edgar Musgrave to the Manor of Shillington and Norleigh or Northleigh Farm, Shillington, and attached letter certifying payment of Succession Duty 1865. 30 July 1861 disentailing indenture between 1) Revd George Musgrave Musgrave of Shillington Manor, clerk 2) Edgar Musgrave of same, only surviving son and heir of (1) 3) Rowland Nevitt Bennett of Lincolns Inn, gent (trustee) (1) and (2) grant to (3) to the use of (1) for life, then (2) - Manors of Shillington cum Apsley Bury, Bedfordshire, Borden Hall and advowson of Rectory at Borden, Kent, and Norleigh Farm, Bedfordshire containing 52 acres or thereabouts and occ by Thomas Francis Recites Will 1822 of George Musgrave formerly of Green St, Grosvenor Sq, Middx, esq, leaving Manor of Shillington cum Apsley Bury with all other messuages and lands freehold and copyhold not otherwise devised, in trust for his son George Musgrave, then to his oldest son George Musgrave Musgrave known by the name of Walker, then George Musgrave Musgrave's first son and the male heirs of his first son and in default his second son and in default the several trusts therein mentioned. Recites codicil 8th December 1823 devising recently purchased property in Shillington on same terms Recites George Musgrave died 9th March 1824, will pro 22 April 1824 PCC Recites his son George Musgrave died 27 June then last past Recites Horace Musgrave, 1st son of George Musgrave Musgrave, died 11 October 1851, never having been married Recites Edgar Musgrave, 2nd son, was 21 on 26 April 1856 Recites George Musgrave Musgrave and Edgar Musgrave desire to bar the equitable estate in tail mail and all remainders without prejudicing the estate limited by the will and codicil Recites Indenture 31 July 1861 between 1) George Musgrave Musgrave 2) Edgar Musgrave 3) Revd Bryant Burgess of Latimers Parsonage, Buckinghamshire and Francis Cobb esq of Doctors Commons, London Recites (1) desires to exercise the joint power of appointment to the use of the trusts (1) and (2) direct that all the above premises should remain to the use of (1)
