Letter: from Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick to Richard Dillingham - writer has received a long letter from her husband and comments that she knows he is going into the trenches again; - notes she was hoping that he would get the job at the baths so he wouldn't have to fight again, "You were never made to be a fighter and I am sure I was never meant to be a soldiers wife"; - hopes and prays he will have the strength given to him so that he may come through this alright; - notes she saw a soldier in the post office who was home on leave, "He was dead drunk. He had lost his hat and all his kit and he got out of the train at Flitwick and thought he was close to Derby. He went into the Post Office for a drink he thought it was a pub, all his clothes were undone up the front, it did seem so awful to see him, he was quite young, only about 20." - comments that May had been to Cowbridge and that Bert looked bad; - hopes he won't be disappointed in his leave this time; - "If you only knew how I long to see you and I know you must long to come home";
