a messuage in Silsoe abtg. E. on the turnpike road
from Clophill to London, S. on the road from
Ampthill to London, W. on premises of Jn.Edwards,
N. on premises of Lady Lucas; together with yard,
coachhouse, stable, loft;
a bay or range of buildings near it upon the waste,
occ. Jn. Edwards;
a cottage nr. sd. premises, occ. Ste. Burridge;
recites: marriage settlement of Hen. Sharp (5/941);
will of Hen. Sharp 20 April 1790. property
is there described as:- a cottage with a
range of buildings on the waste opposite,
waggon-house yard, containing chaise-house,
stable & cart-hovel; another bay, formerly
a blacksmith's shop;
recites that sd. property was then in occ. testator's
son-in-law Jn. Edwards; it was left by Hen. Sharp
to Mary Sharp, wid. of bro. John Sharp; with reversion
to Wm. Doulton, s. of niece Anne Doulton, dau. of
testator's bro. Wm.; in default of heirs to Wm.'s
father Ric.;
also recites that Hen. Sharp left to Ste. Burridge of Silsoe,
yeom., & w. Eliz., a dwellinghouse & yard with woodhouse
and washhouse, with liberty of fetching water from pump;
Mary Sharp & Ric. Doulton are both d., leaving Wm. h.
Eliz. Burridge is also decd.;
Wm. Doulton therefore is now entitled to an estate of
inheritance in fee tail in the 1st messuage, to take
effect on the d. of Sarah Sharp; and to a reversion
expectant in the 2nd., on the d. of Ste. Burridge.
He has been ordered on ship to proceed to the Cape of
Good Hope, and has therefore constituted Jacob Aaron
his attorney;
premises were put up for sale by public auction by Thos.
Brooks of Clophill, auctioner, at the Star & Garter Inn,
Silsoe; the highest bidder was Jn. Edwards.
