    Lease. (i) Hen. Earl of Kent. (ii) John Orlyber of Harrold miller. 2 water mills under one roof in Harrold, occ. by John Orlyber, with all buildings, the stream of water on which the mill stands, the holmes, cobbs and beds of oziers, and rushes, and free fishery in the water of use and Lord's mead ditch adjg.; cott. and 2 closes of past. in Harrold, occ. by Eliz. Bawde wid., as tenant at will, one clo. cd. Saffron clo, adjg. the river and 'lyeth near unto the tayle of the said mills', the other cd. Sweetapples or Welwycks, lying near Saffron close; except all wood and trees. Agreed that Orlebar is to repair buildings, dams, floodgates, and tail of the mills, the banks of the watercourses, with all manner of water and waterworks, timber and timberworks, stone and stoneworks, iron and ironworks, brass and brassworks, the Earl allowing him sufficient damboote for repairing the dams and banks, which dam- boote is to be dug at Orlebar's expence. The Earl will assign a place within the manor of Harrold to dig the damboote; Orlebar is to leave 2 good pair of millstones at end of the term; to maintain willows and oziers and replace any that die; the Earl may fish once or twice a year.
