    Lease for 21 years: i) The Right Worshipful Anthony Grey of Burbage, Leics., clerk, and Henry Grey, his son and heir ii) Edward Roberdes of Ion in the parish of Over Gravenhurst, labourer Lease by i) to ii) for 21years from Michaelmas last [1628], of:- cottage or tenement with appurtenances in Ion in the parish of Over Gravenhurst, late in the occupation of John Bryant, with the pightle adjoining All manor of trees standing, growing or being on any part of the premises reserved to i), together with right of entry etc. to fell, cut, and carry away such trees. Rent: 20 shillings a year, to be paid by equal portions at the Feast of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, at the Michaelmas, or within 15 days after the feast. ii) covenants and agrees not to let or assign any part of the cottage or tenement to any person other than his wife or his children without special license and written consent of i). ii) to repair, maintain, uphold and fence the property at his own cost and charges during the term of 21 years, but i) is to allow 'sufficient great timber' as often as necessary for such repairs, and is to permit ii) to 'lop and shredd for staves in fencing the premises'. witnesses: Hen Pigott Ben Hale Edward Yett [?] seal: one on tag, imperfect signature: mark of Edward Roberts 21 April 1629
