(i) Amabella, dow. Ctss. Kent
(ii) Ric. Ravensden of Clophill, warrener
Cainhoe warren and new close now impaled into
the said warren and made part thereof near Wrest
house together with the game (of rabbits?) ex -
cept the house in poss. Wm. Hopkins (and all
its appurtenances )
(ii) to deliver rabbits to Wrest as demanded,
(i) paying the same price as the poulterers
higlers and other chapmen pay at the time
(ii) to allow (i) to impale 'so much of the said
warren as hath been heretofore used.... as a
bowling green and to use ..... for a bowling
green for the pleasure of the said countess' &c.
and to repair a building called the Stand for the
benefit and pleasure of the countess and friends
without abatement of rent
(ii) to prevent rabbits escaping from warren into
other lands of (i) but (i) to allow them 'peace-
ably to grass and depasture' in Whitrich mead
next the warren 'without any wilful molestation
hunting chasing killing or otherwise annoying'
them
(i) to put fences in repair within the next
three months, and (ii) to maintain being al-
lowed materials
(ii) at pleasure of (i) to use 'the Stand' for
the 'better hunting watching and catching' of the
rabbits and if (i) should require the building
(?permanently) she will provide a room in lieu
in or near Cainhoe house

endorsed memorandum: that (ii) to have the
benefit of all the outlying conies except those
in Saffron ground, the Park and other ground next
the Park or Wrest house; (ii) to see that 'those
outlying conies be destroyed and the holes and
burrows be filled up and defaced; and that it
shall be lawful for any servant of the said
countess by any dog or gun but not otherwise,
to kill any of the said outlying conies and con-
vert the same to the use of the said countess;
and in case any conies shall trespass into any
grounds sown with grain or corn that then the
servants or agents of the countess may by any
net or otherwise, except by snares, kill and
destory the same without makeing any allowance
for the same; made before the sealing of lease;
