Copy of articles of trusteeship between Charles Nicholls, gent of Hitchin, and Thomas Stringer, husbandman of Shillington.
Recites Thomas Day, husbandman of Shillington, died in 1739 leaving a wife Sarah and one year old son Thomas Day. His will is dated 31 January 1738. He had no real estate. They and Thomas Day the grandfather had been tenants of Charles Nicholls for many years.
Charles Nicholls, out of goodwill and compassion, pays to Thomas Stringer 90 in trust for Thomas Day the infant for his education and maintenance until he is 21, when Thomas Stringer is to pay him the 90 in full.
