Suggests the existing mortgage of 500 be paid off, and offers 1600 at 4%. b) Draft reply - Mrs Field had hoped for 4% and to repay any portion as the opportunity offered. She cannot repay the 500 at once, and requires 1000 or 1500 immediately as she has an arranged overdraft of up to 600 with the bank and feels bound to repay them first.
