Copy of discharge from Deborah Field to her brother John Field for 2 legacies of 500 each, given by the wills of her late father John Field of Hitchin and late brother Carolus Nicholls Field of Hitchin, and charged on real estate in Bendish (freehold and copyhold). Recites will of John Field dated 19 April 1757 Recites will of Carolus Nicholls Field dated 4 October 1765 who died childless [see Z937/29/10].. Deborah Field has attained 21 years and acknowledges receipt of both legacies of 500 paid to her by her brother John Field. Witnesses: Joseph Margetts Pierson, William Wilshere junr "NB. There are also discharges from Mrs Sarah Field, widow, Mrs Martha Field, widow, and Mrs Mary Field, spinster, for all the legacies given by the will of Mr John Field and Mr Carolus Nicholls Field deceased."
