    Letter Reads- Mr Hacker seemed to think it was necessary for the steam engine to be powerful enough to drive everything at the same time whereas Bennett recommends a moderate engine to do the sawyer's work with a small surplus, such as 8 horsepower. He suggests the Duke should ask for details of costs for such an engine as a first move.
