Letter Reads- Thinks the London to Manchester Railway a forlorn hope, although Luton people want it. London to Birmingham seems to offer most and he thinks the Duke should not oppose their proposals He will take Mr Hacker to see Colonel Sowerby's farm. Many people are interested in the Millbrook farm and house as its easy access attracts them. He does not know of any suitable farm for old White who might do best if he lived in one of his own cottages at Steppingley. He expects all their gang boys have had some education and go to Sunday School, but he will make more enquiries.
