    Letter Reads- Mr Cunningham expected to write about the Misses Gotobed's land. Bennett supposes Sir Robert Peel's speech has petrified the farmers. He has heard that the excitment of the last few weeks has "given place to sullen disappointment and prediction of certain ruin to the whole class of tenant farmers". Similar sentiments were expressed about tariffs in the past.
