Letter Reads- Bennett thinks the price being negotiated for the sale of land for railway is lower than he would have proposed and if the railway representatives do not accept he has told Mr Cuming they must leave it to Mr Haedy's directions. They are using a recent purchase of land at 200 an acre as a lever but Bennett points out this land was subject to flooding and so of a lower value. He deplores their bullying methods and told them so and that his Grace might well oppose their plans for the Cambridge extension unless they change, which alarmed them as they could not afford delay.
