Letter Encloses a letter from Isaac Elger to the Duke who asked him to comment to Mr Haedy. He thinks the Duke should not buy Railway Shares unless his property requires it. It would add nothing "to the dignity of his station" and the "Nobles of the land" above all others should stick by the land and spend any spare cash should be spent on it. Those who have made money on the railways tend to buy land showing that they see it as the best investment. Lady Agnes Byng's death may upset Col Byng's plans "and then who will take Cople"?
