The proposed site on the Leighton Road will be to acre and it is doubtful if there is a good site in town for a school and playground also. Baron Parke has given permission to Mr Swaffield to keep greyhounds but appears not to want it to become general on the Ampthill estate, so Swaffield has(wisely)decided not to keep greyhounds and so avoid jealousy. Bark trade is a little better this season as manufacturers have found imported substitutes not so satisfactory. He sent directions to Chenies to supply trout to Belgrave Square until further notice.
