    Letter Reads- Has seen Brown of Willington he regrets he did not get rid of the sheep dog which coursed the leverets immediately as he evidently told Pilgrim[gamekeeper]he would but the person he gave the dog to did not fetch it for two days. He solemnly declares he did not encourage his people to disturb or destroy hares and Pilgrim was misinformed if he was told so. "He is ready at any time to meet his accusers". The Rector of Bow Brickhill says they can only sell the land not buy or exchange, and regrets they cannot take that part of the Duke's land nearest the Church. They can sell in parcels and Bennett has been asked to mark out what would suit the Duke to buy.
