    Letter to Robert Butcher from Thomas Woodward Reads- Attendance at the Country Session. Names of those who attended and those ill of fever - Mr. Marsh dangerously so. If there should be a vacancy it would be universally acceptable to the Gentlemen who would like Mr. Fish Palmer to fill the post of Clerk of the Peace. Would the Duke recommend Palmer? The money the Duke has lent for the building of the Newport Road. The next meeting of the Trustees for that road will be at Bedford on 27 July. The Gentlemen of the Corporation have plac'd out several poor children apprentice and are putting out others as fast as Indentures can be got ready and proper masters and mistresses can be found.
