  • Scope and Content
The business of Grigg's my lord leaves wholly to you. I know no reason but he should either employ it and pay the rent or else get sufficient evidence to take it off; my lord will not release him; but let him let my horse blood first. I shall not send for the mare till August and then Jo. Brockett must bring her. Next week my wife will be at Sibson; I hope you will fetch her to Thorney for 2-3 days; her time is short because of my going to the west; if you can get a side-saddle she can ride my mare, - Mr. Hatfield hath one. I am sorry for the drought and hope you have had these two days rain. Pray brother, be careful about the choice of parliament men, for it is of very great concernment. I have had another stone, but it is now voided. I am very weak and sore desire you with me. Remember me to my sister, to Joan and to William.
