    Sworn Affidavit by Jn Goodall of Aspley Heath, Aspley Guise Sawyer aged 33 yrs. born at Wavendon Bucks went to live in cottage which he understood his father built when he J.G. was quite a child lived there with his parents till father's death in 1841 (when J.G. was 20) eldest son of parents In 1841 had ynger bro & 4 sisters who had all died except 1 sister mother lived on at cottage J.G. left on his marriage 2 yrs later he took a ho. in Wavendon Parish gave mother leave to live in cottage but considered it as his own while he was away she planted the land she died 18 mths ago 3 or 4 yrs ago built cottage on pt of land father had enclosed 10 yds from 1st cottage above 2nd cottage new fenced off sister resides in the 1st cottage gave it her with part of the land 6 mths ago 2nd cottage (one J.G. built) he now resides in has gdn behind of 30 poles (incl site of cottage, stable & balk never been applied to, to pay rent for premises was despute about cottage built on Heath after father's death not interfered 16 June 1853
