Lindsell of Biggleswade, Brewers 4) Geo. Newberry of Biggleswade, Gent. recites:- Thos. Hare late of Upper Gravenhurst, Millwright deceased seised of below Prior to 1823 agreed to absolute sale to Jn Carter of same, labourer for 60 Carter pays 32. 6s. 4d. towards 60 and in 1824 it was agreed he shall pay 30s. yearly till 60 paid off. recites:- Lease and Release 1) Thos 2) Hen Hare, his brother, then of Upper Gravenhurst farmer and innkeeper (purchaser) 3) Wm. Stanton All property in Upper Gravenhurst 14 & 15 December 1829 :death of Hen. Hare December 1846 :will of Hen. Hare appts. Eliz Hare his wife and Wm. Lamb executors. Property bought from Thos to be held in trust for Eliz during her life, reversion with all other residue to Hen. Hare his eldest son. Proved Arch. Bedford 20 April 1847 recites:- Death of Jn Carter nearly 2 years ago. Inestate without having paid 27.13s. 8d. Leaves Dan Carter only son and heir, aged 18 years :debt sold to 2) :cottage at Upper Gravenhurst for many years past on by Jn. Carter and now of his widow and Dan Carter and plot of land on which cottage stands 13 wide in front next road :- (of depth of 110 ft and at back 59 ft) Lands of Hen.
