- TitleA declaration instead of an inventory of the goods of John Cripps, late of Bendish but in the prison of the Fleet, London, deceased. Made by Thomas Barker, gent, sole executor of Cripps' will. Barker declares that no goods, etc, of Cripps's have come into his possession. He believes there is a note of 500 in the hands of Charles Nicholls, gent of Hitchin, payable to Cripps, late in the possession of John Plumridge, barge builder of Southwark, Surrey, or his partner. Also a note of 900 under Charles Nicholls' hand payable to Cripps, but Barker doesn't know where that is. Barker has heard that, at the time of his death, Cripps left "some wearing apparel of small value within the prison, and it was seized by some prison officer or turnkey under pretence of chamber rent or some other prison fees". He knows of no other goods etc belonging to Cripps. Declared before R. Wood and witnessed by William White.
