- after making pecuniary bequests Richard Howes devised, amongst other things, about 18 acres at Houghton Regis to his trustees in trust for sale for payment of debts and division amongst his children as tenants in common;
- death of Richard Howes on 8 Oct 1888 and proof of his will in PPR on 12 Nov 1888;
- Richard Howes left seven children [(ii) above];
- (a) below formed part of the 18 acres in Houghton Regis;
- (iii) had agreed to buy the land of Richard Howes for 360 which (ii) had agreed was a fair price
