    Counterpart lease for 14 years from 1778 for 14 pa between 1) John Field, gent of New Inn, Silsoe cum Flitton 2) Peter Capreol the elder, gent of Willian, Herts a) part of the Brotherhood House in Hitchin, with the passage, brewhouse, washhouse, cellars and garden belonging, late occ by John Field, with the barn at the end of the garden, the coach house and adjoining stables with the loft over, and a little shed adjoining the garden wall for a cinder or ash house, with the use in common with John Field's other tenants of all yards, ways, waters, and the pump in the kiln house near the brewhouse, with all common privileges etc. Reserving to John Field and his tenants occupying the other part of the House and malting the use in common with Peter Capreol of all the said ways, etc, and reserving to John Field access at all seasonable times with workmen for repairing the leased property. Schedule - an inventory of all fixtures and fittings in the beer cellar, wine cellar, passages, new parlour, great parlour, kitchen, scullery, pantry, garret, rooms over the kitchen, pantry and great parlour, the porch room, the best room, dining room, landing, brewhouse, outhouse, coalhouse, stable, coachhouse, and garden. Fittings include a dresser with three shelves, pump, chimney blind and a garden privy.
