    Loan between 1) Thomas Field esq of Hitchin, eldest son and heir of John Field, gent, late of Hitchin and nephew and heir of Charles Nicholls, gent, late of Hitchin 2) Richard Hitchin, gent of Hitchin [lender] of 150 on a) messuage in Bancroft Street, Hitchin formerly occ by Ralph Bigg the younger and William Hart or their undertenants, now occ by George Paternoster or his undertenants, bounded S by the capitol messuage late of said Charles Nicholls and now of Thomas Field, N the messuage of Edward Hurst deceased, and all malthouses, yards, gardens, casements etc belonging and used as part thereof, reversion, remainders, title, use and equity of Thomas Field - As mentioned in a bond of even date, same parties, in the penal sum of 300 as security. - (1) is seised in fee simple. - Without let or claim from (1) or anyone representing John Field or Charles Nicholls. - Free from all incumbrances except a mortgage 25 June 1724 between John Field and William Goodwin, clerk, for 500 years for 200, now assigned to John Plumer, tanner of Hitchin, in trust to attend the inheritance. (1) may keep possession until the loan is defaulted upon. Noted on reverse, & signed by Richard Hitchin: 21 January 1750 received of Mrs Anne Field, widow of Thomas, 7.7s for one year's interest due 12 January 1749 1758 received of John Field 23.13s for all interest of Thomas Field esq, deceased, occ by John Moore, and 50 in part of principle August 25th 1758 Recovery of John Field "fifty in part of a mortgage" on John Moorehouse of all interest due to date Feb 1759 Recovery of John Field 1 for half a year's interest and 25 in part of the principle sum Aug 1759 John Field paid 25.10s in full of all principle and interest due
