    Bargain and sale from 1) Francis Taverner esq of Hexton, Herts and Richard Taverner gent, his son and heir, to 2) John Clerk, yeoman of Barton in le Cley for 365 from (2) to Richard Taverner - a) 16 ac in Higham Gobion being closes of meadow and pasture abutting the brook between Barton and Higham on the W, the Bushie Close belonging to (1) on the N, Elme Close lately agreed to be sold by (1) to Thomas Field, yeoman of Barton on the S, which 16 ac are occ by Richard Taverner and is or was part of the demesne of the Manor of Higham Gobion Lately purchased by (1) from John Belasyes esq of Jane his wife, the sole daughter and heir of Sir Robert Boteler, knight, deceased, Lord of the Manor of Higham Gobion. Except reserving to (1) one cart and drift way for all manner of cattle and carriages by and through the 16 ac close under the hedges at the east end to the four closes of meadow and pasture belonging to (1) lying together on the N side of the close and to the brook adjoining Fielden. And (1) give to (2) one drift and cart way for all manner of cattle and carriages from the highway leading through the said manor from Shillington to Barton by and through the Close of pasture called Elme Close under the hedge at the east end, to the 16 ac close adjoining.
