  • Title
Letter from Frogmore Cumming, Vicar of Keysoe to Rev.John Hailstone, Bursar of Trinity College, Cambridge: - Mr.Wilson had given his opinion to the Inclosure Commissioners that a farm paying under the modus such as Crawley had proved was not exempt from Great or Rectorial Tithes; - with regard to a modus claimed by Corpus Christi College, Oxford, their lessee had requested the Inclosure Commissioners to allot the Vicar land to the full amount of the tithes without regard to the modus; - difference between the amount Crawley's tenant paid under the modus and full value of Vicarial Tithes was about 12 per annum
