Letter from Frogmore Cumming, Vicar of Keysoe, to Rev.John Hailstone, Bursar of Trinity College, Cambridge:
- not happy with Thomas Plumer's opinion but could not risk a trial; also not ready to give up his action for small tithes and so he laid it before the college for their direction
- Plumer's opinion was that a jury would decide for Crawley, as the Inclosure Commissioners had done; he felt the lack of proof that Berryfields Farm, of 150 acres, was an ancient establishment prejudiced Cumming's case;
