- Lady Diana Manners (1892-1986), actress, who starred on the London, Paris, and New York stages. Her most famous role was as Madonna in The Miracle which ran for two years at home and abroad. She was a great beauty of her time and appeared briefly in British cinema, once as Queen Elizabeth I. She married the politician Lord Alfred Duff Cooper, M.P. They were friends with King Edward VIII and Wallace Simpson.
