INDENTURE 3 March 1890 from
1) David Cripps Preston esq of Willington Lodge, Nunhead Junction, Surrey to
2) Thomas Laughton, builder of Bedford,
for 166 in fee simple, of
7,200 sq ft of land on the Queens Park building estate with frontage to Hurst Grove of 60', known as plots 12 and 13, shown coloured pink on plan, part of a larger plot belonging to (1).
Conditions:
- every purchaser to erect a fence on the side of their Lot marked T on the plan;
- several stipulations on fences and walls;
- every house fronting Bromham Road shall be a detached house valued not under 800;
- on other Lots, more than one house on each Lot or 3 houses on 2 adjoining Lots, and on Lots fronting Hurst Grove and Cutliffe Grove, a detached house must be worth at least 500, or 2 or more attached houses at least 400 each;
- no trade or business to be carried on other than barrister, solicitor, physician, surgeon, architect or surveyor;
- no site for public hall, Church or Chapel, or place of public amusement;
- no hut, shed, caravan, house on wheels, no booths, shows, swings, roundabouts;
- no gravel to be excavated.
Recites indenture 1887 between 1) Henry Wilson Sharpin and Revd Jeremiah William Haddock 2) Alice Dawson 3) David Cripps Preston.
Covenant by (1) to produce scheduled deeds beginning with
- Lease and release 1809 between 1) Edward Hampson 2) Leonard Hampson and Frances his wife 3) John Thomas Dawson 4) Thomas Gadsby.
